TRIBUTE BY Monueli APPIAH - My time with Hazel
Created by MONUELI 3 years ago
To my dear friend, Ms H as I affectionately called her, a phrase one of the clients called her..
In the words of Maya Angelou
“When great trees fall in forests
Small things recoil into silence
Their senses eroded beyond fear”
I met my good friend Hazel when I went to work in Royal Borough of Kingston. We just clicked, went to lunch, worked very well together. Hazel was full of all Housing knowledge, having had tremendous experience and professionalism which I respected.
I cherish the last time I spoke to Hazel on 26 Jan 2021 for an hour. Unknown to me this would be our last final goodbye! Hazel was very instrumental in a job she had encouraged me to apply for. On that day, we talked about day to day issues in our jobs, family etc.. As we ended the call, she told me the Company would be foolish not to offer me the job. Hazel had asked me to call her in the evening to discuss my potential interview further. She did not answer the call...
Ms H as you always said “I do not suffer fools gladly”
I will miss you and certainly not forget the friendship, encouragement, The Sales we shared together!
Until we meet again, may the good Lord hold you in his palm. Rest In Peace..Hazel!
