I left this to the last minute as I wished and prayed that it was all a dream. No not Hazel, no you can't be gone. No no no but I have to accept that I won't see you again, hear you infectious laugh, hear you say Funmi don't let them treat you like that, cuss them and tell them how it is, your too good to let them treat you like that.
Just writing this is making me smile because the memories and conversations that we had always had me in stitches, belly pain, eye water, your laughter that would sometimes turn into a cough and then back to laughter. You gave me strength in your words of encouragement, shared our stories about looking after our parents with dementia how we both dealt with it but you would always make the day into a joyous one despite what we had to deal with.
Your smile, words, laughter, will forever be remembered. Thank you for being an exceptional Queen in my life and my families. May you rest in eternal peace my dear friend, sister. Until we meet again. Love always Funmi 💖 ❤ 💕 🙏 🙏 🙏

I met Hazel at work. Hazel was kind and loving and had a love of cats. I enjoyed when Hazel came to the office she had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humour with a kind heart. I am still in shock at the loss of one of the good ones. I knew her for a few years and cannot believe I will not see her again. My heart goes out to the family experiencing such a great loss of a vibrant character. Hazel you will be missed. May you rest in peace. Blossom. X
